[May-17] Platform and Programming Support for Mixed-reality Digital Interactive Performance Art
Seminar of Institute of Information Systems and Applications
Abstract In this presentation, an innovative style of performance, called performer-guided mixed-reality digital interactive performance art, which facilitates impromptu performance of the dancers will be introduced. With this style, the virtual characters can interact with live performers in real-time according to pre-programmed AI. Also, we also introduce the how ICT and wearable technologies can provide platform and programming support for such performance art. In particular, a full-stack wearable platform for such performance called WISE and a domain-specific language called DIPS (Digital Interactive Performance Sketch) that aims to help directors of such performance test their ideas quickly will be introduced and discussed. All faculties and students are welcome to join. ![]() Click Num
